4 Types of Facebook Content your Business should be Posting

One mistake I’ve seen many businesses make on Facebook is posting content that is solely about their products or services. Now, don’t get me wrong—it’s important to talk about those things, but if someone likes your Facebook page already, they most likely already like what you’re selling too. What I’m saying is that there are other types of content that you can be sharing with your audience.

So, what other kinds of content could you be posting on your Facebook page to engage your fans?

Exclusive Content

When something is exclusive it becomes more desirable. Limiting special offers, vlogs, presale codes and coupons to Facebook only can provide incentive for people to visit the page more often.

Behind-the-Scenes Content

Some of the most engaging content a business can include on their Facebook page is Behind-the-Scenes content. Why? It allows fans to associate your brand with more than just a product. Posting Behind-the-Scenes content gives fans a look at the inner workings of your company. On IMP Canada’s Facebook Page, for example, we’ll post photos of new team members, snapshots of goodies sent to us by clients and announce our employees’ birthdays. We want our fans to know more about the company and the people in it.

User Generated Content

From photos to opinions, people love posting things on Facebook. When people see their content featured on a business page, it’s like having their own 15 minutes of fame. Who wouldn’t love that? Don’t be afraid to ask people to engage with your Facebook page. Ask questions. Ask for suggestions. Ask people to share photos of themselves using your products. Just be sure to monitor the results closely!

Shareable Content

Not everything you post on your Facebook page has to be directly related to your business. A great way to gain fans is to post shareable content (Memes, ecards, viral videos, blog posts and news events all qualify). If you think something is funny, shocking or interesting, chances are your Facebook fans will too. If your fans like the content you post, they’ll share it on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Basically, shareable content can extend your brand’s reach.

In the highly competitive world of social media, it’s important to be able to differentiate your business from others. Why not try something new and see the results! For more social media tips, contact us at http://impcanada.com/
